A discretionary trust (previously known as a Family Trust) is a trust under which the trust's trustee or trustees may distribute trust income or other trust property.
The name of a Discretionary Trust may be any name of your choice. There are no restrictions on a Discretionary Trust name.
Fixed or Non Fixed Unit TrustCompany or Unit Trust? A unit trust may be setup as an alternative to, (or complimentary with a Company), if this would suit your business structure (please seek professional advice on what's best for you). There are two types of unit trusts - fixed and non-fixed.
The name of a Unit Trust may be any name of your choice. There are no restrictions on a Unit Trust, Trust name.
Hybrid TrustA Hybrid Trust does not refer to one particular type of trust structure. There are many types of Hybrid Trusts and they mean different things to different people, therefore is it important that you understand the type of structure you need and Companies By Quorum Services advises that you seek advice from your solicitor or accountant.

Setting up a Trust
To setup a trust all you need to do is complete the trust deed order form online. Or alternatively you can fax or email us the order form together with your credit card details for payment. On receipt of the completed form and your payment, your Trust is setup. This takes approximately one hour (1 hour) to complete and will be delivered to you Australia Wide.
