From 28 May 2012 all new business name applicants must have an ABN (Australian Business Number) in order to register a business name.

By using our website you can apply for an ABN at the same time as lodging an application for a business name through our joint service offered to you.

This means there will be a single online registration process for an ABN and business name throughout Australia which also results in the business name being registered nationally.
